New York Center for Children
The New York Center for Children (NYCC) has the mission to provide a wide array of behavioral health care services to youth with serious emotional disturbances that help foster recovery and successful functioning in the home, school, and community. The New York Center for Children was founded in 1995 and was originally called the Child Advocacy Center for Manhattan. NYCC is at the forefront of a number of educational projects focused on diagnosis, prevention and treatment of child abuse. In addition to their annual conference, their educational offerings include workshops and intern/externships geared to various constituencies including professional, community groups and students. NYCC also provide free, comprehensive evaluation and therapy services to victims of child abuse and their families. They also offer professional training on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of child abuse. All the programs and services at NYCC are free of charge. The center serves all families and children within the five boroughs of New York. Children at the center benefit from tutoring, mentoring, and extracurricular events. They are located at 333 E 70th St #1, New York, NY 1002. To find out more about them, please visit: http://www.newyorkcenterforchildren.org/
