Goregaon
Goregaon is a small suburb of the city of Mumbai. With a population of 22 million people, Mumbai is a huge city, in fact, it is India’s largest most cosmopolitan city. Many things co-exist in this city of dreams such as the extremely wealthy stars of Bollywood, the world’s most rich and lavish hotels, and extreme poverty.
In a city of such polar opposite socio-economic standings tempers often flare and this has left the city no stranger to violence, but from this violence, the poor suffer the most. Poverty is widespread in Mumbai, 70% of the cities population lives in slums. These slums have limited access to electricity, food, water, and medical supplies. These slums are home to 7 million children under the age of 14 all without access to the proper supplies and equipment needed to help break the cycle of poverty.
The school children that we help fund belong to a school named Muskan Foundation whose goal is to help not only underprivileged but also disabled children attend and succeed in school. If you would like you can check out their website at muskanfoundation.org.in
You can help one of these children to break the cycle of poverty and give their children a better chance. Donate now.
Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.
The Annual Month of Giving is a program held by My Fine Mind every month. Each month there is a certain goal set by My Fine Mind in order to buy and ship school supplies to locations that have suffered from natural disasters. This program allows for My Fine Mind to collect donations for families in urgent need of school supplies. Any form of donation is greatly appreciated.
