Donation of School Supplies and Teaching Material to HFH
My Fine Mind is incredibly grateful to start another partnership with Homes for the Homeless.
Due to the incredible generosity of Edith A. Bogert Elementary School, who bountifully donated many school supplies, we were able to give them to those in need at Homes for the Homeless on August 29, 2019. They received microscopes, reading material, drawing/writing utensils, glue, marbles, staples, math material (flashcards, number lines, shapes, etc.), calculators (basic ones), a kitchen scale, a bucket scale, paper clips, rubber bands, and hole punches (1-hole). Homes for the Homeless was founded in 1986 by Hartz Group Chairman Leonard N. Stern in partnership with the city government and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine and they have been committed to serving its community. The partnership focused on alleviating the effects of poverty in New York City, and on providing supportive programs and shelter to homeless families. They have a mission to help create lasting solutions for families experiencing homelessness through self-sufficiency planning, goal setting, and achievement. They provide a variety of services such as financial literacy and job readiness for parents while enriching the lives of children through educational programs, youth development, and fun recreational activities, all the while paving the path for families to move forward. We would like to thank Edith A. Bogert Elementary School as well as Homes for the Homeless for allowing us to reach a helping hand out for those in need. We would like to thank Edith A.
